We are bringing Krate’s most iconic production, THE BEST NYONYA, to Kuala Lumpur for a special Merdeka Day performance.
Join us on 31st August 2026 at KLGCC Mall, 1st Floor, Main Atrium, Bukit Kiara, as we celebrate Malaysian culture, heritage and the colourful world of Nyonya tradition through music, storytelling and performance. Presented as part of the Cultural Art Showcase & Bazaar 2026, organised by Kaki Seni in partnership with MAE by Maybank, this special mini musical by Krate Creative Space (Melaka) is a celebration of culture, tradition and the stories that make Malaysia unique.

In collaboration with Nyonya Palazzo, this exclusive production will be staged at The Georgetown Mansion
(sister museum to the iconic Penang Peranakan Mansion) for the month of whole May 2025!
This marks Krate's first-ever performance in Penang.

Step into the opulent world of Peranakan Culture with the Best Nyonya, an unforgettable theatrical experience where you don't just watch the story unfold -- you become a part of it.
The Best Nyonya was first debut in 2022 in an outdoor festival in Melaka that garnered a total of 2000 attendees and since then has been performed in KL, Sold Out shows in immersive dining experience and even restaged in Melaka (2024) with a total cast and crew of 32 people and more than 600 viewers from all walks of life.
